Changchun miss chance to close gap

Changchun Yatai missed the chance to close the gap on the Chinese Super League frontrunners after they suffered a shock 1-0 home defeat against Dalian Shide.

The hosts had the opportunity to move within eight points of leaders Guangzhou Evergrande with victory against a side who were only one point clear of the bottom before the clash.

But Changchun fell behind to James Chamanga's 11th-minute penalty, which proved to be the crucial strike as Dalian moved away from the lower reaches of the table by claiming their first victory on their travels this season.
