Atletico Mineiro claimed top spot from Vasco da Gama in the Brazilian Campeonato table with a 2-0 defeat of Santos on Thursday

Danilinho and Araujo Rever scored the goals which put Atletico back on top after Vasco had displaced them on Wednesday.

Rodrigo Souza scored twice, including a penalty, as Bahia won 2-0 away to Palmeiras.

The game between Flamengo and Portuguesa ended in a 0-0 draw.
